Position Summary

The technician will support the research coordinators, PI, and research manager in conducting clinical trials, NIH and/or industry-sponsored, that focus on the discovery of novel drug targets in rheumatology. The technician will report and be supervised by the study PI and Clinical Research Manager.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the identification, screening and assessment of potential subjects for studies.
• Assists with data preparation and study file maintenance.
• Supports the PI in obtaining informed consent, ordering pre-randomization tests and ordering study drugs.
• Assists in assuring compliance and study protocol and maintaining case report forms.
• Performs data entry and data retrieval from study site; provides ongoing reports for PI.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor???s degree in chemistry, biology or physics or related science or equivalent combination of education, training and experience

• The candidate selected for this position is required to undergo drug screening prior to a final offer of employment being made
• Participation in the medical surveillance program
• Contact with patients and/or human research subjects
• Potential bloodborne pathogen exposure
• Successful completion of applicable compliance and systems training requirements
