The technician will support the research coordinators, PI, and research manager in conducting clinical trials, NIH and/or industry-sponsored, that focus on the discovery of novel drug targets in rheumatology. The technician will report and be supervised by the study PI and Clinical Research Manager.
Responsibilities
Assists with the identification, screening and assessment of potential subjects for studies.
Assists with data preparation and study file maintenance.
Supports the PI in obtaining informed consent, ordering pre-randomization tests and ordering study drugs.
Assists in assuring compliance and study protocol and maintaining case report forms.
Performs data entry and data retrieval from study site; provides ongoing reports for PI.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor???s degree in chemistry, biology or physics or related science or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Other Requirements
The candidate selected for this position is required to undergo drug screening prior to a final offer of employment being made
Participation in the medical surveillance program
Contact with patients and/or human research subjects
Potential bloodborne pathogen exposure
Successful completion of applicable compliance and systems training requirements
