Reporting to the Administrative Director, the Sr. Research Administrator is responsible for the pre- and post-award management of federal and non-federal research grants and contracts in the Section of Rheumatology. High level management of the portfolio including the strategic planning, budgeting and administration of salaries and expenses. Provides considerable support to Principal Investigators to ensure proper budget development for sponsored research. Requires advanced knowledge of sponsor guidelines. High level, independent thinking and problem solving is required to ensure that awards are submitted and managed in accordance with established sponsor guidelines. Provide training and advice to the principal investigators pertaining to appropriate staffing issues, levels of support and other budgetary items, as well as any specific compliance issues pertaining to each application.
A Bachelor's Degree is required
5-8 years of relevant experience
