SFVAHCS – Rheumatology - Physician/Scientist Faculty Physician/Scientist Faculty at San Francisco VA Health Care System The Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and San Francisco VA Health Care System (SFVAHCS) are seeking applications for a Physician/Scientist faculty in the Rheumatology Section at the SFVAHCS. The SFVAHCS Rheumatology Section is one of three sites within the UCSF Rheumatology Program. The SFVAHCS Rheumatology Division is undergoing expansion of its clinical and research programs. The Division enjoys a long tradition of distinction in clinical care, education, and scholastic pursuits. We are ideally seeking a Physician at the Assistant level who will meet the requirements for an appointment in the UCSF Health Sciences Clinical or Adjunct academic series, however, applicants may also be considered for appointment at the Instructor, Associate, or Full ranks and/or Clinical X and In Residence series. The selected candidate will report directly to the Division Chief of Rheumatology at the SFVAHCS. The successful applicant will have excellent clinical and teaching skills. The primary focus of this position will be on clinical care in the outpatient clinic and inpatient rheumatology consult service, and teaching of fellow and resident trainees. Candidates must be US citizens and board-eligible/certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology with excellent clinical and communication skills. Candidates must have a valid U.S. medical license.
