Provide the following nursing care to Rheumatology patients: Manage lab monitoring of patients Process prescription renewal requests Obtain prior-authorizations Prepare insurance denial appeals Complete life insurance forms, disability forms and FMLA forms Instruct patients and families according to a teaching plan established by a Registered Nurse Participate in unit staff meetings for problem-solving, planning and improvements in patient care. Assist in quality assurance activities. Prep and set-up of office procedures as needed Patient call-backs for normal labs and other results Other functions as delegated by providers and RNs
Graduation from an approved school for practical nursing is necessary.
Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Michigan is necessary.
Successful completion of a pharmacology course in an accredited program is necessary.
Must have at least 1 year of clinical experience as an LPN within the last 2 years.
Must be proficient in computer and keyboarding skills.
