University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service. The Division of Rheumatology in the Department of Medicine at the University of Washington is seeking applicants to fill a full-time faculty position under the title Assistant Professor (without tenure due to funding) on the clinician-teacher pathway. The position is a 12-month service period and will be based at Harborview Medical Center (HMC). Anticipated start date July 1, 2019.
Expertise in clinical rheumatology as well as teaching experience are required. Successful candidates must have an M.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) with board-certification in rheumatology (or foreign equivalent). In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
