Physician shall provide direct patient care services, and supervision and education of residents in the Adult Rheumatology Clinic and consultations on Inpatient Units. Responsible for the attainment of Rheumatology goals. These services are to be executed in a manner that insures the successful execution of the strategic Rheumatology plan in consultation with the Chair, Department of Medicine. RESPONSIBITIES:
Physician shall perform professional duties in accordance with currently approved methods and stands of the Rheumatology and, as applicable, the bylaws, rules and regulations of the Medical Staff of the Hospital. Such care shall be rendered in a positive public image and reinforce the level of professionalism, which is expected by the Hospitals patients.
Physician shall interact with the Hospitals employees, medical staff, and patient/family members in a manner which reflects and reinforces the Hospitals basic values and mission (as embodied by policies adopted by the Hospital from time to time) and its commitment to quality and service.
Physician shall provide specific assigned hours per week of clinical and administrative services in the Inpatient Units, Adult Rheumatology Clinic, and the L-4 practice at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. The foregoing shall include evening and weekend office hours, which Physician shall maintain. Physician shall provide telephone on call coverage and inpatient services in accordance with the Hospitals policies and procedure and this Agreement, which shall be in addition to the responsibilities performed during the above-referenced hours. Weekend and evening hospital and telephone call coverage will be shared on a rotational basis with the Ambulatory (Outpatient and Beth Prime Care) attending physicians, in accordance with procedures established by the Department
