Associate or Full Professor (Ladder, Ladder/In-Residence) - MED - Allergy/Rheumatology
Tenured Position in Rheumatology, Allergy & Immunology. The Department of Medicine (http://med.ucsd.edu) at University of California, San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. The Division of Rheumatology, Allergy & Immunology is actively recruiting for a tenured faculty position at the associate or full professor level.
We seek a physician scientist with continuing active engagement in clinical Allergy and Immunology along with an active and innovative research program. The successful candidates will be expected to 1) demonstrate and maintain a high quality, extramurally-funded research program, 2) maintain professional competence by attending in a weekly outpatient adult clinic and participation in the inpatient/outpatient consult services, 3) demonstrate excellence in the teaching of medical and graduate students, 4) provide service to the University and academic community at a level commensurate with his/her career stage, and 5) contribute to the maintenance of a collegial and collaborative academic environment.
Applicants must have an MD, be board eligible/board certified in Allergy & Immunology and must be eligible for a California medical license.
Appointment will be at the Associate or Full Professor level. Series will include 100% Ladder Rank or 50% Ladder Rank / 50% In-Residence with secured extramural funding. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales.
