The Department of Medicine, Division of Rheumatology at UC Irvine is actively seeking a full-time faculty member in the Health Sciences Clinical Series at the Associate or Full Professor level, depending upon the candidate's qualifications, experience, and achievements. The ideal candidate should have at least 7-10 years of clinical experience. Applicants must hold an M.D. or D.O. degree and be Board certified in Internal Medicine & Rheumatology. Appropriate Rank and Series commensurate with qualifications; excellent benefits. As part of a large, academic Department of Medicine, our division provides Inpatient and Outpatient Rheumatology consultation and follow-up at both the UCI Medical Center in Orange and at the VA Medical Center in Long Beach. UCIMC, the only academic medical center in Orange County, and the LBVAMC provide care for large, complementary and socioeconomically diverse local populations plus significant numbers of regional referral patients with OA, RA, crystalline arthritis, spondyloarthritis, SLE, scleroderma, inflammatory myopathy, systemic vasculitis and other challenging, complex connective tissue diseases.
