The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine, Section of Rheumatology, invites applications for a full-time faculty position. We are seeking a rheumatologist with demonstrated expertise in the area of autoimmunity. It is expected that the successful candidate will develop a clinical practice complemented by patient-oriented research focused on the mechanisms of disease, novel therapies and/or relevant epidemiological questions. In addition, we seek a candidate who can effectively utilize the substantial clinical and research resources of the University through collaborative research. Patient care responsibilities include general rheumatology clinic, outpatient procedures, and inpatient consultation. The successful applicant will also participate in the training of clinical fellows. Applicants must have an MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent, be eligible for Illinois medical licensure, and be fellowship trained and/or BC/BE in Rheumatology.
