Assistant, Associate or Full Project Scientist - Rheumatology
Project Scientist Position in the Division of Rheumatology, Allergy & Immunology: The Department of Medicine (http://med.ucsd.edu) at University of California, San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body and seek applicants for a Project Scientist Position.
Candidates must have a PhD or MD/PhD in cell, molecular biology, rheumatology or related discipline with 5 years post-doctoral experience. Candidates must have knowledge of analysis of immune cells and fibroblasts, particularly from arthritic joints.
Candidates should be proficient in fibroblasts like synoviocytes isolation (both human and murine), culture and functional assays both human and murine. Candidates should have worked with murine (both mouse and rats) arthritis models and be familiar with in vitro and in vivo assessment of proliferation and transformation, protein localization by immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry and cell and molecular biological assays.
Appointment will be in the Project Scientist series. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales.
